AERCO Stars in History Channel’s “Operation Green Building”!
AERCO recently starred in an episode of "Operation Build" on the History Channel!
The 11-minute segment was featured in their special episode, "Operation Green Building," celebrating green companies that are environmental stewards and continually implement eco-friendly practices.
The segment emphasizes the importance AERCO places on energy efficiency, from the low emissions and small footprint of AERCO’s products to its industry-leading condensing boilers and water heaters. These water heaters capture latent waste heat from the unit itself in order to increase its own efficiency, save energy, and reduce fuel emissions.
Bree McQuillan, Vice President, Marketing and Solutions, AERCO, took the show’s host, Andrew Dan Jumbo, on a tour of the AERCO factory in Blauvelt, NY. During the tour, she described the types of solutions AERCO provides and explained how they are created by robotic welders, an automated brazing machine, and the skilled AERCO employees who create the products.
Lou Vorsteveld, Vice President Engineering, talked about AERCO’s newest product, the OriGen, which provides energy recovery on a much larger scale – for an entire enterprise.
The OriGen converts low- to medium-temperature waste heat/exhaust into clean, usable electrical power in a continuous closed loop. Fossil fuel-free and emission-free, it is good for the environment and good for business, with ROI typically seen within two to four years.
The OriGen can be used across an extremely broad range of applications – everything from landfills and oil refineries to large food and beverage manufacturing plants and smaller facilities, such as AERCO’s headquarters.
"Operation Green Building" recognizes the important contribution AERCO makes with OriGen and the rest of its product line to the growing field of energy efficiency and conservation.
